Founder Jack Huntress opened the bubble gum pink restaurant and ice cream parlor on New Year’s Eve 1958, hoping to fill a void in the local family-friendly dining scene. His nephew; Carroll Huntress, took over the business in the 1980s and today, Carrolls’ son Ben helps run Old Town Scottsdale’s most colorful restaurant!

Considering how much has changed in Old Town Scottsdale over the years, the Sugar Bowl hasn’t changed much since it first opened! The main dining room is like stepping back in time with all the splendor of, heart-shaped tables, pink booths, and an original soda fountain. Come down today and have a yummy banana split or PB&J sandwich!
